Neve 33114a
After the class A series Neve eq's like the 1073's, 1066's etc., these class AB mic pre / eq's are the next most desirable and certainly more affordable.
They use a similar mic amp circuit to the 1081 eq's and have transformer balanced mic, line inputs and transformer balanced outputs. They have 3 bands
of switched frequency eq along with a stepped HPF and LPF. There is a eq bypass switch and a mic phase reverse switch at the bottom of each unit. Gain: -90db range +10dB to -80dB in 5dB steps
HF: 15k, 10k, 6k8, 4k7, 3k3 Hz MF: 8k2, 5k6, 3k9, 2k7, 1k8, 1k2, 820, 560, 390, 270 Hz LF: 330, 180, 100, 56, 33 Hz HPF: 270, 150, 82, 47, 27 Hz LPF: 18k, 12k, 8k2, 5k6, 3k9 Hz
Size: 220mm x 35mm x 215mm Pin Outs: 1. Mic input + 2. Mic input – 3. Mic shield 4. Line shield
5. Line input + 6. Line input – 20. Unbalanced line out + 21. Unbalanced line out – 22. Balanced line out + 23. Balanced line out – 24. Balanced out shield 25. 24 volts dc +
26. 0 volts dc 29. Ground BTW, if you are wondering what the 'a' stands for - these have LED indicators for the eq and phase switches and also have a different colour scheme on the knob
caps (see pix). Otherwise they are identical to normal 33114's and sound exactly the same |
